Alaska Halibut Fishing
Halibut fishing season extends from April to October but reaches a peak in Mid-July. This is when your chances of catching a Barn-Door Halibut is the greatest (over 200 lbs!)

Absolutely the best fishing trip I have ever been on. Saturday May 5th. Weather was phenomenal, seas were calm. It could not have been a better day. Jimmy and Josh made it a great day. All 9 folks limited out and we had several fish over 50 pounds and one over 80. The Perseverance was very comfortable and the tackle was good stuff. Other fish that are frequently caught during these trips include Ling Cod, Yelloweye Rockfish and Black Bass. There are great eating fish and favored among many of the local fishermen.
All fishing tackle and equipment required for either salmon or halibut fishing is provided.
Boat lunches, fish freezing, vacuum packing, and shipping. are available at an extra charge.
Items you will need to bring are: food, beverages,
camera, and fishing license. Licenses may be purchased at The Fish House.
Resident annual license cost is $24. Non-resident license costs are as
follows:
1 day ($20), 3days ($35), 7 days ($55), 14 days ($80), annual ($145).
A typical HALIBUT or SALMON fishing charter
departs the dock about 6:30 - 7:30 a.m. and cruises through the pristine
beauty of the Kenai Fjords National Park en route to world class salmon
or halibut and bottom fishing grounds. The trip concludes about 6 p.m.
The halibut fishing season runs from April through October with peak fishing
occurring in July. The salmon fishing season runs from June through August
with the peak fishing occurring mid July through mid August.
Our vessels are all Coast Guard inspected vessels as are the Captains of the vessels. Please give us a call or send an email to go over any details or questions that you might have.
All rates are subject to Port Fees ( $3.50/person) plus Sales Tax.
